I made it out for a couple of Mom’s Night Outs with my friends this month! I’m so lucky to have met all of these awesome ladies!!
We took a short drive to the Wichita Mountains in Lawton, Oklahoma … yes we have mountains in Oklahoma, haha! Actually, Oklahoma is a state that is very different depending on where you are! I have even heard that there are swamps in the southeast and dunes in the pan handle! We have been trying to do some traveling to get to know our beautiful state. We went to Mount Scott which is 2,463 feet above sea level. It’s about a 3 mile drive up the mountain. It's located in a wildlife refuge so we were able to see some wild buffalo and other animals on our way back home. These are some of the pictures we took.
We went to Indy at the end of the month and were able to spend time with our families. We drove so I’m so thankful Joe bought us a car with a DVD player! Made for such a more pleasant 11 1/2 hour drive!
It’s so fun to see Camden interact with his cousins. He’s really starting to get who they are and remember them!
We went shopping with Grandma Dot (of course) and took a couple of cute pictures.
On one of the days we went to Ridemakerz. It’s like Build-A-Bear but for cars! Camden LOVED it and I think Joe had just as much fun, haha!
Camden picked out his car as soon as we got there. He wanted the firetruck with the monster chaise (I think that’s what it’s called, haha!) and monster tires.
Then it was off to put it all together.
All done, and ready to test drive!
These pictures crack me up because he picked up the box and was ready to go!
My mom, Camden and I were able to go to see my grandpa at the nursing home. He really got a kick out of Camden!
My gorgeous mom and her daddy :-)
On our way back we met Stacy and the girls for lunch.
Camden and papa Rob playing with his fishing boat. Camden is still talking about Papa’s Boat!
I was able to see some of my beautiful friends and their kids while we were home too. This is my friend Amanda (you may remember her because she sang at our wedding) and her son Jackson. It had been WAY too long since I had seen her!!
I met Andrea and Dionne at Andrea’s house and got to meet baby Marin!! I miss these ladies so much and always have a great time spending time with them.
Unfortunately, again, we didn’t get to take as many pictures with Joe’s family. Joe needs to be better at remembering to take pictures! We met his whole family at Jonathan Byrd’s Cafeteria and then went to his brother, Randy’s house and spent the afternoon. Camden had a blast playing with all of them!
The day before we left to head back to Oklahoma, we visited with Joe’s mom and dad at their house. Camden and papa Dwane went for a walk and it was just too cute!!
He’s always been enamored with his grandparents!!
We met my parents for dinner afterwards at the country club and Camden had a blast playing with the putting green… too bad we didn’t bring his clubs!!
This is a picture of Cam on our way home… I think the week wore him out!
