I have been a bit lazy in my blogging... it's much easier to put cute pictures of Cam and add a little blurb rather than sit down and type out a paragraph telling you what we have been up to. Well, I hope to change that BUT please don't hold your breath! I see all of my friends' blogs and they have these great paragraphs updating everyone on their exciting lives and I just don't know what to say... so here goes my attempt!
I'll start with Joe. Joe is one of those people that always needs some sort of project. They start out small and then turn into something that costs way too much. He had been on a woodworking kick but I think it's too hot outside for him right now so he has turned his focus to the house. His current projects include making an HTPC... don't ask me if you don't know what it is because I don't really know either! I think it's a computer that you can use on our big screen tv and surf the internet and watch movies but I'm sure it has so many other things it can do??? Another project is putting really dark screens on our back windows. We have neighbors behind us now so they will offer a little more privacy but will also block the sun somehow. He is really into making our home more efficient so they will apparently also keep our house cooler through the summer. Joe is one of those guys that can fix anything from our cars to the refrigerator, it's so nice and saves a ton of money! We rarely ever have to call someone to repair anything... and if we do, he already knows exactly what they need to do. Amazing!
I am enjoying my time with Camden. I really am so blessed to get to spend so much time with him! He is the coolest kid and we just laugh and have a great time all day! Sure we have our days and moments but he really is a great, happy 2 year old. I am working on finding ways to save money. I like to read blogs from other SAHM's to see what they are doing to save money and I am slowly learning how to coupon. I feel like I am contributing to our income by saving money so it makes me feel good! I am still working on getting into a nursing program. This will be a long process since I still have a handful of pre-requisites and not a whole lot of time, or money for that matter, to devote to school right now. I'm doing really well the classes I have taken so far so I know I have it in me! My biggest news is that I have started running! Stacy (my sister) has talked me into running a mini-marathon with her... yes that is 13.1 miles. I have not been doing much in the field of working out, let alone I think the last time I ran was in high school for tennis. I started out really slow and have now worked my way up to running 3 miles without walking or stopping. I am extremely proud of myself and NEVER thought I could get to this point! I'm still a long ways away but I have faith that I am going to cross that finish line! I just turned 30 in June so it may be a pre-midlife crisis?? It's strange because I have come to enjoy running. It's also really nice to be doing something with my sister even though we live far away from each other right now.
Camden... Oh, I could just gush for hours about how proud, happy, amazed etc. I am of him! He is just such a sweetheart and is quite the comedian! He always says "Shesh you" when someone sneezes or coughs. He says "Sorry Mama" when he hits me in the head with his golf clubs. He is obsessed with golf and enjoys watching the golf channel with daddy. When he falls he says "I stuck". His favorite word right now is "No" but for some reason he uses it even when he wants to say "yes". I hear " 'mon Mama" (Come on Mama) all day while he pulls me around the house with my finger, and "Seat Mama" (sit down) at least hourly. He has an obsession with Firetrucks and Airplanes. Everytime he hears a plane he instantly starts waving and says "Bye Pwane" even when we are inside and can't see the plane. He did it during bathtime the other day and it cracked me up! Camden and I are part of an awesome group of moms and kids and enjoy spending time with them! We both have met some great friends and it's been nice to have some adult conversation during the day while Camden gets some time to interact with other kids. It's what keeps us sane!
Well I think that's where I'm going to end this post... don't want to give it all up in one post and not have anything to say for the next one ;-)
